I love throwing pottery. I love trimming pottery. I love glazing pottery. I do not love lugging pottery from craft show to craft show. It’s heavy. It breaks. It gets burning hot to the touch in the sun. So…

What if?

Having a place my pottery could call home has long been a dream. Honestly, though, I thought it was a pipe dream. But then, this past May, along came a great opportunity and Kingston Square Arts was born. I have a shop of my own!

Shelves full of pottery!

Kingston Square Arts is located in the historic Bunch Store in Kingston, Arkansas. We showcase handcrafted items all made within 50 miles of the store by about 20 different artists. The store is in a really neat old building that is listed on the historic register. The store has all original wood counters, display cases, and shelves. The shelves are full of Oddbowlz pottery!

Plus a pottery wheel!

We also have a place I can set up a wheel. So now I am a pot-throwing shopkeeper. You can catch me throwing at Kingston Square Arts most Thursdays or Fridays, trimming or pulling handles many Saturdays. I always have some clay to spare. If you aren’t afraid of a little mud, you can stop by and try your hand at creating some kind of odd bowl of your very own!  And while you are there, please buy a pot…we have to keep the doors open.

Dreams do come true!  Can you tell I’m excited? Hope to see you in Kingston real soon!
